Hello dear colleagues,
I am looking for any help from you.
I have problems with the functioning of a pocket terminal emulator (PT 510), which I'm using to adjust a Siregraph D3 system. Connecting the emulator to D29 board (for Spotfilm Device), the main menu is displayed immediately showing the firmware version (ZH43 VD4 09/93), but when I try to select the operating mode (Normal or Service), does not respond. That is to say, I can't read or write data from EEPROM memory. If I want to read out the EEPROM data in "Siregraph-mode" by pressing the function key F8, the display shows the message: "Error reading EE-prom or user break". I replaced D29 board by another one, but unsuccess.
Everything works fine when I connect the emulator to the basic unit (Z2 K2).
What could be the problem?
I'm using an old Win98 laptop and the DOS version of the emulator.
Thanks in advance.
Regards.

Hi Lenny,
Thanks for replying.
From the beginning, I have connected the pocket terminal and setting the baud rate according to the technical documentation.
Setting the connection is not a problem. The problem is that selection of operating mode (NORMAL or SERVICE) does not respond on the spotfilm device. In other words, when connecting the PT to the spotfilm device, main menu opens immediately but I can not select any of the operating mode (NORMAL or SERVICE) to read out EEprom data or write into EEprom memory. It means that I can not adjust the spotfilm device!
Everything works properly when connecting to the BASIC UNIT.
Any suggestion?
Regards.
Dear Vic can you please send me instructions how to turn a laptop to PT 510? Can you send me dos software, type of serial cable and functions of terminal?
Thank you Lenny. I need instructions how to change the settings of fluoroscopy size of a D340. Can you help?
Where do I have to connect the serial cable?
