Hello everyone, I have to fix a problem with regard to sleep ring, a Elcint Selecsp, The problem with these rings is that you have spent a sander have been rough. For this reason the coal consumed quickly and are short-circuited.
The solution is to change the Rings Sleep? wonder
Hi,
First thing what you can do is clean and polish the rings which are rough. Use a sandpaper or a brush. You can get easy acces to the rings by tilting the gantry towards patient (without the back cover). Turn off the rotor switch and HV switch on PDU (in this way you have no power to the rings (for your safety :)). Open the metal cover from the bottom (4 screws) and then you can see the rings.
Then using a service remote box you can rotate the gantry and clean and polish the rings.
Second thing is to change the ring connections. I expect your problematic rings are 1 and 2 which provide a power to the HV inverters. There are 2 another rings which are normally not used. You can use them. As I rememmer there are 6 and 7. There are 4 terminals from the rotor side where these HV power cables are connected. In this case it is very important to be sure that you connect it properly.
it is very difficult to replace the slipring in a field conditions,. You should remove all the things from the rotor, replace the rings (and center it properly... - there is no instruction how to do it. I expect that it is easier to replace the CT or replace the brushes...
