SOFTWARE TROUBLE WITH AGFA CR85X
April 24, 2025 06:07
Hello everyone.
I'm having a problem with the Agfa CR 85 X, and I need someone who can help me.
A while ago, my hard drive crashed, so I lost the software, and unfortunately, I didn't have a backup.
I replaced the hard drive and got some software, which I'm not sure is adequate.
However, since I don't have a backup, I need to redo all the settings and calibrations.
I calibrated GenRad Fast Scan, but when I run image tests, it's noticeable that the image isn't properly aligned; it starts reading early and ends late.
I tried to perform IP alignment calibration without success, underexposer, overexposer, etc.
I need help with this, Agfa 85X 5148/100 SN 4732

If you definitely don't have the backup disks, repairing them is very complex.
A lot of machine-specific data needs to be reinstalled and is on the backup disks.
I recommend using hard drive recovery software, such as HDDRegenerator, which repairs even bad physical sectors without losing data. Specific data is backed up in internal directories on the hard drive.

It's not difficult to recover provided you know what you're doing.
When you calibrate you must use the 1.6mm copper filter and a 35cm x 43cm cassette, in some cases you will also need a 24cm x 30cm cassette.
If your nx workstation is undisturbed you need to log in as crservice and then open nx configurator.
From there you will need the nx ae title and then go to the digitizer setting and record the values.
FastID AE and Port
ID Station Name AE and Port
Digitizer AE, IP Address and Port
You will also need the nx workstation ip address.
When you have all the data you need to create a cpf file.
To do this you need the ccm tool, this only runs on Windows XP, will not run on win7 or win10 and you cannot run it in compatibility mode.
I have the ccm tool.
The cpf file is then loaded in the digitizer, this then tells the digitizer where it's sending data to. If you get it wrong it just sits there dumb as a dog turd and blinks red.
