When the control system is coming up after a PowerUp or 'ScanSetup/Reset/Init'
and doing the Initialization, the MASTER_SP opens the CAN communication and
expects the response by every controller in the specific time. If this timer
expires, EM2501 is produced.
Reason for error:
-----------------
- Controller defective
- CAN communication disturbed
- Controller asynchronous to MASTER_SP
- power loss on a controller
What to do?
-----------
1: Select 'ScanSetup/Reset/Init'
2: Select 'Service/MSI/Req_T02' and go to page 3;
the FAILING controller is missing in field 'can rec ID'.
or
Select 'System/Logbook/Go[Fatal,Error]' and record the line
MAS_EM2501 ('E' 'M' xx xx (xx Parameter xx xx) )
Parameter = The total number in HEX of all received controllers (max=3F)
The difference between the received parameter and the maximum of
3F shows the number (HEX) of the failing controller(s).
XRS:20, PHS_SP:10, ROT:08, ROSY_SP:04, KEY1:02, KEY2:01
3: Replace the 'Failing Controller(s)'
4: Replace the firmware of the 'Failing Controller(s)'
5: Replace the MASTER_SP (D30+D332+FW)
In case of power failure 8,5V (ACS stationary):
6: Check the line adaption for the PDS.
7: Check F6,F7 on MASTER_SP.
8: Check F7, F8, F9 of the ACS transfomer.
9: Check the cable between the MASTER_SP and the Failing Controller,
ROT: W101 KEY2: W114 KEY1: W103 PHS_SP: W127
10: Replace the rectifier of the ACS transformer.
11: Replace the ACS transformer.
In case of power failure 8,5V (ACS rotating):
12: Adjust the 40V of the XRS with R2 on DC1 (D20)
13: Check the cable between the controller,

Hi .I am working now with a somatom emotion 6 ct. When i meet this ct the first time, the problem was the IRS. the owner got another irs. Both ics and irs are 7A towers. I realized the ics software was the VB38B, and the new irs has the VB20B and didnt sinchronize. So i decide to install software again, but first i made the backup from the ics VB38B. by this time, the gantry was ok, rotating at the start, and with positions on gantry display, table and tilt movements ok.
I dont have the VB38B CDs, so i tried installing the VB20B on the ICS ans the IRS. But when i recover the backup VB38B i did before on the new VB20B ics, the gantry didnt recognize table nor tilt positions on display, and couldnt move anything. eventhough the ics and irs sincronize problem dissapear, but now i had errors in history like:
- Id: 25 The config file "U_SOMARIS_SCANUI" is not valid
- Id: 4 Error reading Entry "SOMARIS/Config/User//Scanui" from the registry
- Id: 1007 control error PHS (E 30 00 07 ff fe 0a ff)
- Id 1006 control error PHS (E 30 00 06 08 7f 00 01)
The phs error told me that the firmware table PHS was no the correct one.
I have very difficult time trying reinstalling all over again, but samre result. again. Please tell me: Does a backup of a version like VB38B does work with any other version like VB20B or not?
maybe thats why this messages appear.
Finally i did something different, after reinstalling again and restore 1 and 2 complete, i only restore the FIRMWARE file from the CT SETTINGS from another somatom emotion 6 backup and the Gantry and table RECOGNIZED NOW, MOVEMENTS TOO, but the gantry didnt rotate ANYTIME and i only have this error message:
- Id: 25 The config file "U_SOMARIS_SCANUI" is not valid
- Id: 4 Error reading Entry "SOMARIS/Config/User//Scanui" from the registry
CHECKUP CALIBRATION mesage appear, but cant realize it, even doesnt rotate gantry.
I dont know what this SCANUI meaNs or how to solve this error. PLEASE I NEED YOUR ADVICE AND HELP WITH MY QUESTIONS BEFORE. ALSO ASKING YOU IF YOU CAN HELP ME WITH THE CDS VB38B.
