Sonoace 8000 live error code 85

I have a medison sonoace 8000 live. Last week all of the sudden it started throwing an error code 85 about 60 seconds into scanning in 2D and it freezes on error code screen and states it needs to reboot. Hopefully its an easy fix. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Dear Dawn,
The Error Code 85 is meaning that the error concerned Motor Control Board.
Please disconnect the 3D probe and turn on the power switch and check again whether Error code is still appears or not.

I have disconnected the 3D probe and turned it back on. It has no code but I cannot do anything until I plug the probe back in. Everything works fine for about 60-70 seconds, then the error code appears.

I think it is problem on the 3D/4D probe becuase when you turn on the power, system try to set the initial data. one of that is the set position crystal of 3D/4D probe - Crystal must be set on center position- but some time the positioning sensor in the probe was dead.
So, When you turn on the power, System request the initial data to each parts but probe did't set position to start and the Motor Contol board send wrong signal to CPU.
So, system show you Error message.
this Error message conerned Motor Control board and Probe but you told me during 60~70 seconds system was working well.
So, I doubt the Probe.

Yes, probe works fine in 2D right up till it hits the 60-70 second mark. I'm not sure if it functions well in 3D/4D because there's not really enough time for it to cycle and capture before it freezes on error code and requires reboot. I was hoping it is maybe just an update problem or some kind of setting that's off.

When you press membrane of probe gently, you can feel the Crystal(it is hardest stuff) check that crystal is in center or not.
Normally, the positioning Sensor was Gone, the crystal is stuck in left or right side.
Please check that.

Sorry I just now saw that you had replied. I can not tell if it is in the center or not. But when I put it in 3D it does not move like it did before.

The probe only has no more than 75 hours on it. It shouldn't be bad.
