I just got a used Agilent Sonos 5500 and connected a Panasonic LQ-MD800 to it by the I/O cables from the VHS that was in it. Everything seemed to work fine in testing it out. U/S tech completed a carotid doppler without any problems. When he was halfway through completing a second study (so machine had be running for over an hour) he said that he smelled smoke and the monitor and both touch screens went out. The fans could continue to be heard spinning and the VHS, DV-R, and printer all continued to receive power. I opened the cabinet and could smell smoke, but did not see any signs of burning or actually see smoke. The main board under the controls shows a code "BUS ERROR * FAULT ADDRESS = 00926001H PC = 0003ECDCH". I've tried looking this code up in the service manual, but I can't seem to find it. I think I need to parse to code to find it in the service manual, but I'm not sure how to do that. Please help.
