Summit Doppler problem

We have a handheld Summit ABI doppler (L250) with printer. A few weeks ago, the printer went from printing normally to splitting the tracing, garbled on the top and bottom of the tracing, not on the middle line. We've tested each component (Doppler, cable, and printer) individually, and everything works fine independently with working equipment, but put together, the problem comes back. Any ideas?
