Hi everyone,
I am troubleshooting a Toshiba Aquilion CT scanner and need some guidance on isolating a communication fault.
Background:
The system recently suffered a RAID controller and HDD failure. We replaced the faulty hardware and performed a fresh system installation using a verified disk image. The OS boots correctly, but the system is now triggering an RTM (Real Time Monitor) Communication Error.
Current Symptoms:
The console hangs during the initialization of the reconstruction system.
Persistent communication timeout between the console and the backend.
Error logs pointing to RTM interface failure.
Request for Assistance:
Board Identification: What is the best procedure to identify which specific board is failing? (e.g., GCIFA, CPU REC, or the fiber optic links).
LED Indicators: Are there specific LED patterns on the GCIFA or the reconstruction rack that I should look for to confirm a hardware handshake?
Software/IP Check: Since we used a disk image, could this be a configuration/IP mismatch (even if the image is from a similar model)?
Any help with the diagnostic steps or service manual references for this specific communication path would be greatly appreciated.
Greetings everyone,
First, I would like to thank you all for the previous insights. I have an update on the hardware status:
I identified a low battery on the GFCI board (Board 79), which was causing the WDT to lock . After replacing the battery and resetting the board, the watchdog error is gone, and the board is initializing correctly.
Currently, I am using the engineering utility to "Reconfigure RDD" for the new 600GB SAS disks. The process is taking a very long time.
Is this extended duration expected for 600GB drives on this system?
Is there a way to monitor the progress via logs?
Also, as I am not yet deeply familiar with the Aquilion architecture, I would be extremely grateful if anyone could share training materials, service manuals, or technical guides. Any documentation would be a huge help for my professional development with this specific equipment.
Thank you very much for your time and support!

Most suspected is configuration.
How many loop devices you can see in the logs
