Does anyone know of a third party company that can calibrate the Verathon BVI 3000? I need to have units calibrated and also get the yearly calibration noticed turned off.
Verathon has a first responder program. It is a little expensive, but the savings is very great. You get a tissue specific pahntom, a spare set of batteries (2)
a spare machine and probe, with an extra tail piece. And lastly you get a string phantom with the calibration key. The class is 2 days long and can be held at your facility. Our facility had the training and it was very extensive. we have been able to save about $13,000 in 2 years by not having to send out our Bladder Scan units. We currently have 12 and as you know it would be very expensive.
The only drawback is the probe itself still has to go back to the factory if damaged or broken, but that is the only case.
Finally you get a discount on parts with being a verathon "partner"
I don't think there is. Verathon charges $750 for calibration and they will turn off the yearly cal message for free. We check ours with a bladder phantom and only calibrate when outside the specs.
