HI EVERYBODY, I WAS TRYING TO INSTALL A USB PRINTER (SONY UPDR80) TO AN ULTRASOUND SYSTEM (VIVID 3). WHEN I CONNECTED THE PRINTER IT WAS RECOGNIZED BY THE US... AND APPEAR "NEW HARDWARE WAS FOUND" I PUT THE CD DRIVER AND CLICK NEXT NEXT NEXT....... THE PROBLEM IS THE PRINTER THERE IS NOT IN "PRINTERS" MENU.... I WAS THINKING IF I NEED TO GO UNDER WINDOWS TO INSTALL IT AGAIN... ALL SUGGESTION ARE WELCOME
Hi, Roberto! First, I'd considered the utility of this printer, because you won't have how to trigger it for a single photo - The buttons Print A/B weren't prepared to trigger digital printers, there is no dataflow for them in the application software. Second, if you intend to use it to print echo reports, install the printer driver first, and afterwards plug the USB cable. This way, the printer would be correctly recognised. I also must say that the OS built in this equipment has less resources than a full windows 2000 and, sometimes, it's a hard stuff to 'see' the list of installed 'unusual' printers. If you have a dongle you could surf on the W2K to unistall it and install it again (otherwise, use the menu function on the examination screen). Hope this helps, God Bless. MAC.
