Hi all,
This is regarding a Voluson P8 issue. The problem is the machine will work fine with some set of linear and Convex probes. If I used another linear or convex probes, it will not work. Probe switching happens, but scan area is not coming instead we can see the back ground. If I use linear probe in the first port, I can hear relay sound ticking continuously. All of the probes which I used are 100% working. I checked in other machines too. I restored the software, reloaded the software in new hard disk, but no use. Please help. Thank you

Are You sure that the probes You tried to use are compatible with Voluson P8 system?
Can You name the models of the probes that aren't working?

yes, 100%.I used the same probe only. We are having many probes of the same model and I tried all. Some are working and some are not. This 'not working probes' are working in other machines too.

What about software versions of the other machines - are they all the same? Need error log - the answer to Your problem is there.

The software versions also might influence support of different transducers. Insert USB memory stick and press ALT+ D to collect logs and system data. Better do the same on the system which recognizes the transducer correctly. So we could crosscheck.

Thanks Sergey. But the thing is I have used the same model. If I used different model, then the software version can play a role. But with the same model transducer, some will work which means software is supporting. Ryt?

You are welcome, Sahal. If the software is different even on the same model - incompatibility issues are still possible. Such as shorter compatible transducers list on older soft.
Also on Administration/Service/probe eeprom You may see status of all probes connected - either the machine doesn't recognize it or probe id reads out wrong...

Sorry, Sahal. I didn't understand Your thought at first. You are right if transducers models are same - then soft version isn't important - my advice still the same - read out error logs, get probe eeprom info - all will become clear...
