Please tell me how to solve this problem. communication error console output when booting. first attempt to write 1 attempt 2 OCP connecting filed. Console does not work
I also have a problem with voluson E8 expert, and after some tests I found that the console become damaged. Unfortunaley, the only way I found to test was testing the console in other system. Here some symptons:
- Ultrasound keys (freeze, print, etc, etc) doesn´t work.
- Alphanumeric keyboard Works.
- Console backlight doesn´t turn on.
- Touch panel is turn on but don´t work.
- Power on light works fine.
- TrackBall works but the backlight is off.
- During boot up appears a message, related to the console driver.
Are you sure that you have the console cable connected?
Did you change anythink like software of board?
This message usually comes up when the software is wrong or the cable to the back marked as console is not connected.
the cable from the console is RS232 and it should be connected where it says Console in the back, there are two RS232 connectors and if you connected it in the wrong one it will not communicate with the system.

cable ok i check. and check max232ecwe in console it is ok. software board 1.9. and may be you have soft on the board

Hi,DK!
I'd opened the equipment, and would performed a complete cleaning up.
After that, if necessary, reinstalling the SW.
In the worst case, BEP Motherboard might have it's COM Port defective.
