Opening a new facility, already locked down our MR (Symphony 1.5t) and CT (Emotion 6). I am now looking for an XRAY machine, but have never dealt with them.
What are the different types out there? Pros and cons of each?
CR systems involve cassettes and cassette readers that send the image to your PACS. Two companies I'd suggest you look at for these are Fuji and Konica-Minolta.
DR systems send the images directly upon acquisition and do not involve cassette readers, are usually much faster, and also more expensive. Carestream Health just released a very promising wireless DR system.
