DOTmed's BuySafe Independent Inspection Service lets you buy peace of mind. It's the worry-free way to ensure any purchase goes smoothly, anywhere in the world.
Here's how it works:
- DOTmed will locate a suitable engineer or dealer living within a convenient travel distance to inspect the equipment you are interested in purchasing.
- This individual can photograph the equipment, if possible operate it and confirm that all of the necessary parts and pieces are with the system.
- For Auctions: If you let DOTmed know in advance, DOTmed will arrange with the Seller that your bid is contingent upon inspection.
- Our representative can communicate with you during the inspection process by telephone and email, forwarding you photographs and answering any questions that you may have in real time.
- When possible our representative will turn over the check and take possession of the equipment on the spot.
- BuySafe will only be applicable for items being Auctioned on DOTmed or posted on DOTmed as Listings.
- You will be asked to fill out a form in which you indicate any specific questions that you may have, identifying components that you expect to be present with the system that is being inspected and describing any tests that you would like our representative to perform.
- After completing this form and submitting it to DOTmed we will give you a price which will include travel expenses, if any, the fee for our engineer's time, and the management fee charged by DOTmed.
- At that time we can also provide a price for deinstallation, crating and transportation if necessary.
- You will have the right to accept or reject the individual that we recommend and no funds will be turned over to the Seller without your expressed written permission.
- You will be asked to release the representative and DOTmed from any obligation or liability other than what is outlined in the Inspection Agreement.
- DOTmed will charge a fee of up to $250 to cover the cost of locating an engineer. This fee will be due even in the event that you elect not to utilize the inspection service.
