An innovative microtome design economically superior to all other manual rotary microtomes which provides for faster sectioning with more control.

Exclusive design features considerably reduce the mass required to be accelerated during sectioning resulting in a comfortable working force generated by larger muscle/joint combinations virtually eliminating stress

Uses a vertical cutting stroke common to all rotary microtomes engaged by a horizontal sliding movement.
An operating arm replaces the handwheel and is attached to both sides of the instrument for greater convenience to permit control of sectioning from the left or right.
Safety is assured by a locking mechanism designed to permit the operating arm to be locked in any position.
A motorized micro/macro feed system provides for a thickness range of 1 to 250 microns with retraction on the return stroke.
Selection of sectioning mode or trimming mode is through a "push button" on the handle of the operating arm.
Cutting stroke is adjustable in relation to the specimen size which shortens the movement of the operating arm to provide for faster sectioning, greater sensitivity and less range of motion for improved ergonomy.
Duplicate controls provide for convenient operation with the left or right hand while an easily read LED display indicates sectioning/trimming modes and section thickness.
A totally new concept in a power assisted microtome combines the advantages of rotary and sliding microtomes.
Power assisted horizontal movements are proportionally related to the sample size moving across the knife edge.
