This is a 17 to 20 year old centrifuge that appears to be in good working order. It moves up to speed quickly and brakes equally as well. There are no issues with the soft key membrane or display and the instrument appears to respond appropriately to commands. The door requires a few of prompts to open and an error code results. It does however always open and at each prompt the lock mechanism can be hear to be attempting to unlatch. This issue will likely disappear with alignment which would be best done after it has arrived at its final destination. Included is a Beckman S4180 Rotor Assembly without buckets.
