Healthcare industry veteran, William King, surfaces with a new company

July 14, 2011
William 'Bill' King,
a true industry veteran
Sparks, Nevada - William King has relocated to Sparks Nevada and launched a new company, Equipment Remarketing Alliance, Inc. (ERA), focused on utilizing his 35+ years experience in the medical imaging business. ERA was conceived to provide the resources and skills necessary for a successful sales transaction of used and re-furbished medical equipment with the primary focus on the international healthcare market.

Phil Jacobus, President of DOTmed, Inc., the world's largest online medical equipment listing and auction company, noted that, "Bill's experience and successful track record at EMI Medical, LINC Equipment and Bill's previous company, KING Equipment Services, Inc., provides him with in-depth experience in all facets of the process. Bill's lifelong devotion to customer satisfaction and personal experience will certainly help to insure the success of this new venture."

Bill completed the sale of his 13-year old medical trailer refurbishing business to his son a year ago and subsequently moved west to Reno/Sparks, Nevada. He focused his attention on expanding relationships and marketing to the international market, with a strong emphasis on India and Africa. His background in CT and MRI scanners resulted in unique affiliations with other professionals in the industry. By utilizing their expert skills the success of each transaction was insured.

Equipment Remarketing Alliance, Inc. plans to provide a resource to developing countries that will improve the overall condition of healthcare. According to Mr. King, "So often transactions are purely driven by price, and clients buy expensive equipment without the resources are available to install it and make it function properly. This problem is exacerbated in areas of the world where access to proper support doesn't exist. ERA will focus its attention on sales of used and refurbished medical equipment to these markets providing the necessary skills and support to insure the proper use of the equipment through its 'alliance' with qualified associates."

Bill King has been involved in the medical imaging marketplace since 1974 and has served as Vice President of Service for EMI Medical (inventor of the CT Scanner), President of LINC Equipment Services (first full service re-furbisher of CT Scanners), President/Owner of KING Equipment Services (premier re-furbisher of Mobile Medical Trailers).

Congradulations to Bill King

A true walk down memory lane. Since being a "grunt" engineer with Bill as the boss in the days at EMI, he has always been a gentleman. Working with his son is equally so.
