The A-V Impulse system is contraindicated for patients with conditions where an increase of fluid to the heart may be detrimental, including some patients with congestive heart failure and those with pre-existing deep vein thrombophlebitis or pulmonary embolism.

Studies have shown that the A-V Impulse System is extremely effective in the reduction of post-traumatic swelling in both the upper and lower extremity. This will reduce your hospital stay, reduce complications and speed your recovery.


FEATURES

Ability to fit the majority of patient foot sizes. Proper fit ensures that the appropriate DVT prophylaxis is being delivered to the patient.

Rigid sole contains and directs the impulse against the sole of the foot. Ensures complete emptying of the plantar plexus.

Anatomically shaped bladder - extended distance between heel and metatarsal pad ensures flattening and stretching of the entire plantar plexus. This action is essential to completely empty the plexus of the foot.

Dorsum wrap provides additional pressure to the medial aspect of the plexus to encourage maximum evacuation of blood and cushion bony areas at the top of the foot to provide additional patient comfort.

Latex free cushioned foot cover provides cushioning and maximum coverage of the foot surface area to distribute pressure evenly over the foot and minimize trauma to untreated areas. Minimizes pressure points.

Vent holes provides additional comfort for the patient and allows for venting of the air in the bladder if the pump malfunctions.
