TheLifecare 5000 Plum Infusion System with Dataport is a multiline, general purpose,volumetric infusion system designed to meet the need for hospital-wide devicestandardization. By means of internal switch-settings, a qualifiedbio-technician can configure the system to best suit the clinical needs andcensus changes of the hospital. The Lifecare 5000 Plum Infusion System withDataPort is designed for accurate, non-pulsatile administration of single fluidregimens, dual-channel regimens, piggybacks, and multidose regimens over a widerange of delivery rates and fluid viscosities. It can administer a variety ofmedical fluids, from 50% Dextrose Injection, USP, to enteral feeding productsand blood. Primary and secondary doses of compatible drugs can be deliveredconcurrently.
