hi, this happen once the exposure start, or happen when the tube rotor start but no x ray have start yet? Any error was generated when the problem occurs? from what year is the unit? from what year is the x ray tube? this looks for me like arquing of the high tension (x ray tube or high tention generation) this is a new install or the unit was working ? if it is a new install this could be a calibration problem or if the unit was under use this looks like arcquing. the incoming power didn't change? if you incoming power is not right this could be arquing problem. hope this helps,
Check the 5 volt coming from the low voltage power supply on the console and make sure it is between 5 to 5.1 VDC. If it not adjustment is needed or Low Voltage Power Supply is bad.

Lorad M IV consol shuts down when exposing

I have a customer that uses a Lorad M IV, when performing a exam, the consol shuts off when trying to expose, then a restart is necassery.
Have you got any idea on what could be wrong?

Does the unit come back on when you power up ? I had a problem with the rotation switch sometimes it would not come back on sometimes it would.

Check the solid state relay, suppressor on it, and the contactor. All located in the lower left of the gantry unit.
