Building on the growing demand for digital imaging solutions in women's health, the primary emphasis of the Hologic RSNA pavilion was demonstrating Selenia digital mammography workflow solutions for busy healthcare professionals.
Interest in digital mammography was significant. The Hologic co-sponsored RSNA Digital Mammography Workshop was completely sold out - over 900 RSNA registrants took the course.
Works in progress featured at the event include the Breast Tomosynthesis with a Selenium Based Detector. Building on the findings of more than two years of diagnostic and screening clinical trials, the company featured its latest breast tomosynthesis system. "The Hologic Breast Tomosynthesis exhibit was booked from start to finish of the show," noted Marketing Manager Jim Culley. In addition Hologic presented the results of ongoing trials to demonstrate the improved sensitivity and specificity of digital breast tomosynthesis compared to 2D digital mammography.
The company also demo'd its work-in-progress, 3-D Imaging on Hologic DXA System and current offerings including orthopedic and rheumatology solutions.
