Andover, Mass., December 15, 2005 -- Royal Philips Electronics has announced that customers again ranked its Medical Systems division #1 in overall service performance and #1 in overall manufacturer satisfaction in the 2005 IMV ServiceTrak Patient Monitoring Systems survey for the seventh consecutive year.
Customers were asked to rate manufacturers on factors across the product ownership lifecycle, including overall satisfaction, help desk/hotline performance, service engineer performance, emergency service delivery, manufacturer performance, system performance, and installation and training.
Philips Patient Monitoring ranks first in the industry for 16 of the performance factors covered overall. Philips scores better than industry average in 34 factors and beat its own past performance in 19, a reflection of the company's commitment to continually raising the bar for the design and delivery of customer services. Service continues to be a major source of differentiation for Philips Patient Monitoring.

Philips' ultrasound business also ranks #1 in Overall Service Performance in the 2005 IMV ServiceTrak survey, for the 13th straight year. Customers rated its Medical Systems division the #1 vendor in overall service and first in manufacturer performance for "Ultrasound All Systems" in the 2005 IMV ServiceTrak survey. Philips also received top marks in customer satisfaction for Ultrasound Cardiology and Radiology/OB-GYN.
The 2005 IMV ServiceTrak report, one of the most recognized and trusted surveys in the healthcare industry, confirmed Philips' industry leadership position in 18 ultrasound service and performance factors studied in the survey. In addition, Philips scored well above industry averages in 24 attributes, with 18 scores being better than last year's results.
