"We also train people from Europe, Scandinavia, Middle East, Africa, Mexico, and Canada on a regular basis," Monro says. "We are the training center of choice, because from start to finish, we have the best trained staff available, that have an incredible knack of not only knowing this equipment inside out, but they also can communicate with service engineers globally in a language that they can understand and implement."
Monro credits the staff of RSTI with helping the company remain a success year after year.
"Not only are they electrical geniuses in disguise, but they each have a group of modalities that they pursue on a regular basis. Each instructor is cross-trained on multiple modalities, but they also each have their specialty," Monro says. "We are inspirational to our students on a daily basis. We teach them to improve their value to themselves first and then to their facility. We work them hard. Eight full hours a day and 40+ hours a week. Most courses are two weeks in duration, so we spend a lot of time with them. During that time we play hard as well, taking them to dinner, a ballgame or just a beer at the neighborhood tavern."
Looking ahead, RSTI has items being reviewed for future expansion in the area of medical equipment training, but at this time, they aren't able to speak about most of this.
"I can tell you that RSTI and large technical college in the south will be announcing the launch of a new Bachelor of Science Degree in Diagnostic Imaging," Monro says. "It will be the first of its kind anywhere and will be regionally accredited by SAC."
