DOTmed: Please outline the scope of this project.
Citrus Valley Health Partners is embarking on a very exciting project to modernize and improve its oldest hospital, Citrus Valley Medical Center– Inter-Community Campus. This dramatic project will nearly double the size of the emergency department and help us continue to bring state of the art clinical technology to our community. It consists of three projects: Emergency Department, Hybrid Operating Room and Advanced MRI.

Emergency Department - ICC’s emergency department sees more than 21,000 visits per year in just 12 beds. It is frequently crowded, cramped and can be difficult to navigate for patients. This new project will expand the emergency department to 21 beds by taking over the existing medical records department and the existing public corridor, as well as adding a new waiting area and public entrance.

Hybrid Operating Room - CVHP is making a significant investment in its heart and vascular center by building the first hybrid operating room in the area. This exciting technology integrates advanced imaging technology and surgical capabilities to perform the newest generation of surgical and interventional procedures. These include minimally invasive heart and vascular procedures, as well as those that combine catheter-based and open procedures.

Advanced MRI - CVHP will be installing the first 3.0 Tesla MRI in the East San Gabriel Valley on the first floor at ICC. This new technology offers unparalleled image quality for many different specialties.

DOTmed: How will this project help the community you serve?
These exciting projects will continue CVHP on its transformation to being an integral partner in elevating our communities’ health.
