Q&A with Glenn Scales, NCBA President

by Robert Garment, Executive Editor | June 25, 2014

Then on Wednesday afternoon after the Business Luncheon, we're going to award two $2000 scholarships to young people interested in a biomedical career who are registered in a community college, and one $5000 Glenn Scales Scholarship for a working biomed who is seeking advanced training.

And on Thursday night we're going to have big screen TVs set-up in the Exhibit Hall and put on the opening game of the NFL season with Thursday Night Football.

Ensure critical devices are ready to go

Keep biomedical devices ready to go, so care teams can be ready to care for patients. GE HealthCare’s ReadySee™ helps overcome frustrations due to lack of network and device visibility, manual troubleshooting, and downtime.

HCBN: Can vendors still get a booth, what's the deal?
GS: Yes, we still have room for more Exhbitors, the hotel can expand the floorspace to accommodate up to 100 8' x 10' booths. Last year we had 92 booths and this year about 60% are sold, so there's room for more if you want to exhibit; The fee is $800 per booth, and you can get a double-wide if you want. Exhibitors should also know that we plan many events around the Exhibit Hall so vendors and biomeds get a lot of good face-time.
