The Association for Medical Imaging Management will hold its 2017 annual meeting and exposition in southern California at the Anaheim Convention Center July 9-12.

More than 1,000 imaging professionals and 150 exhibitors from across the nation are expected to attend the event.

Three keynote speakers are scheduled, including:

• Chris Blackmore (“The Magic of Customer Service”) on Monday, July 10.


• Jake Poore (“The Leader’s Role in Building and Sustaining Exceptional Patient Experiences”) on Tuesday, July 11.


• Shari Harley (“How to Say Anything to Anyone: Setting Expectations for Powerful Working Relationships”) on Wednesday, July 12.

The exhibitor symposiums will focus on:

• Understanding Clinical Decision Support (CDS) requirements for medical imaging, on Sunday, July 9.


• Neuroimaging of the pediatric population: Current practices and looking towards the future, on Monday, July 10.


• Cybersecurity is easy! (Expect for the humans), on Monday, July 10.


• Patient-centric MR imaging: Innovative imaging strategies, on Tuesday, July 11.


• Addressing musculoskeletal pathologies with ALARA imaging, on Tuesday, July 11.


• Optimizing breast cancer detection, Departmental efficiencies, and the patient experience, on Wednesday, July 12.

The breakout sessions will include:
• Cracking the code: How to leverage lean Six Sigma to improve your imaging clinic.
• AHRA regulatory affairs update.
• Clinical Decision Support – Ready or not, here it comes.
• Making the connection: Colleague engagement and patient experience.

Three special events will take place on Sunday, July 9, including: the CRA exam workshop; 2017 executive leadership program; and the Imaging Classic golf tournament.
