Barrington Medical Imaging, LLC (BMI) has been in business for seven years providing all makes and models of CT and MRI systems as well as refurbished imaging equipment. Three years ago, BMI added a new business, Barrington Medical Technology (BMT) to manage the warranty and existing service contract sites. In addition, BMT sells new service contracts and refurbished parts for all makes and models of CT and MRI equipment.

"Our customers are other brokers, ISOs, hospital organizations, Biomed departments, and OEMs such as GE and Philips," said Rick Aguilar, Parts and Logistics Manager for BMT. "Most OEMs have multi-vendor divisions where they work on other OEM equipment and purchase the parts through companies like ours." Hospital biomedical units are a customer base that looks to BMT for parts, service, and technical support.

Aguilar, an OEM veteran himself, is noticing some interesting trends in the medical equipment parts market lately. "I am seeing more independent service organizations out there in need of parts. People are getting better at digging deeper to find their parts as opposed to buying from the OEM. These trends have provided a significant growth path for BMI and BMT."

BMT takes advantage of DOTmed's revolutionary Parts Hunter(TM) to sell parts. "It has been helpful. I have posted and received requests."

BMT's inventory is quite substantial. According to Aguilar, "BMT is big and growing. We are looking to move into a bigger warehouse very soon because we are busting at the seams."
