At Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital, that is the case with an RTLS integration involving CenTrak smart badges and electronic bedside displays manufactured by a third-party vendor. Together, these devices alert patients to the presence of a staff member in their room and informs (or reminds) them of the employee’s name and position, contributing to stronger and more transparent interactions. Similar RTLS integrations involve the hospital’s electronic health record system and mobile communication devices used by staff.
