The Department of Defense plans to implement the system at 54 military hospitals and clinics in 2022, making it available at more than half of all such sites,
according to the Fort Hood Sentinel. It began implementing the system in 2017 in 23 waves and recently deployed it at the Tripler Army Medical Center, which is made up of five military hospitals and clinics in Hawaii back in September.
To prepare for the transition at Tripler to the new system, IT staff were sent to facilities where the platform was already installed, including the Naval Medical Center in San Diego, California; Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center in Carson City, Nevada; and the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
