Five Minutes in Healthcare - Michael Berlingo

by Philip F. Jacobus, CEO | January 07, 2026
Michael Berlingo
Five Minutes in Healthcare is where I discuss current events with some of the industry's most influential leaders.

Today's conversation isn't about healthcare in the strict sense, but it does tap into a worker shortage issue that impacts hospitals. For example, we all know that HTM teams are challenged to reach young people starting their careers -- and the service being offered by my guest seems like the kind of solution that might help create the necessary inroads to resolve those challenges.

Michael Berlingo is the CEO of Starteryou, a company that is addressing the problem of youth unemployment by helping college and high school students find meaningful internships and part-time work in the New York, New Jersey and Connecticut tristate area. It's a service that caters to the unique qualifications of young people and connects them with local entry-level positions that need filling.
