Five Minutes in Healthcare is where I discuss current events with some of the industry's most influential leaders.

Today I am sharing a conversation I recently had with Jesus Rodriguez, president of Virtus Imaging Partners. This interview is the latest in a series I recently conducted with members of the independent medical equipment service community.

At a glance, the independent medical equipment service community is made up of a lot of small companies, but I've recently discovered that many of these companies work together as a community to support one another.

This came to light at a party I attended that was hosted by Marshall Shannon. There were maybe 100 service engineers in attendance from 40 different companies.

I was moved by the level of commitment and motivation of these engineers and interviewed several of them. I will share those interviews here. One thing they all had in common was a sense of pride -- not about technical skill or income -- but about helping patients.
