This system was purchased in 2005 and has not been used by the facility. It is being sold because the facility no longer performs breast imaging.
The bilateral breast coil allows simultaneous imaging of both breasts. High sensitivity and homogeneity enable high-resolution imaging of both breasts with complete coverage from the nipples to the adjacent axillary thoracic regions.
The coil is integrated in a dedicated patient support. The patient lies comfortably in the prone position with both breasts hanging free with an elliptical opening. A separate support is supplied, which, in combination with a small cushion, can be used to support the patient's head.
The design of the Bilateral Breast Coil enables easy and fast patient setup and can accommodate a wide variety of patient sizes.
