DOTmed sent hundreds of keys
to event registrants...

Also, as part of some traffic-building fun, DOTmed mailed over 600 keys to the AAMI pre-show attendee list. In the mailing, the recipients were told that 30 of the keys would open a treasure chest at DOTmed's booth, and the winners would receive a $25 Home Depot Gift Card. As attendees flooded the booth with their keys, the traffic-builder truly created a traffic jam. Among the lucky winners were Mrs. Kabiru Adams (wife of Abbey International Enterprise's President), Jaffar Al Madan, Michael Braff (NY Presbyterian Hospital's Laser Service Manager), Robert Bundick, Semih Gunduz (Teknik Medikal's Engineer), Kathy McAuliffe (SonoDepot's Marketing Manager), and Joseph McNett (Netech Corporation's General Manager).

All attendees were also given a sneak peek into the future of buying medical parts with DOTmed's innovative Certified Parts Vendor Program (CPV). "At DOTmed, we know Biomedical Technicians work hard, and we think and deserve something in return," said DOTmed Director of Marketing, Robert Garment. "For every part a participant requests, and for every part they purchase and rate the Seller, they will accumulate points in their DOTmed Rewards Bank Account. With the DOTmed Reward Bank Account, they can spend their points any way they want."

For parts buyers in VA Hospitals -- who are not allowed to accepts gifts -- and others in similar situations, the hospital itself can participate. The accumulated points can be used for discounts on parts, or the facility can donate the points to their favorite charity.

Overall, the launch of CPV was met with positive feedback. IV Technologies' Vice President of Sales and AAMI exhibitor Les Sandlin commented on what he thinks the future holds for parts vendors with CPV. "I will admit, at first we were hesitant to try something new and expand our business with DOTmed even after registering years ago. But, we finally decided to take the plunge in 2007. Today, I don't regret this decision at all. DOTmed has helped our business grow by 20 percent and I believe their new parts program will help us tap further into the international market, a venture we're currently trying to undertake," Sandlin said.
