"The regulation of how we do business is not really monitored well in the service and repair end of endoscopic business. A lot of people who work out of basements, garages and limited facilities call themselves technicians and that's why you have to be aware of why sometimes we get bad raps," he says. "You need to look for a qualified, reputable company who can provide services needed and perform to expectations that customers can expect."

While the OEMs continue to bring out the latest and greatest, refurbishment companies can still provide bells and whistles on their used and repaired equipment, and this combination has helped the industry stay strong.
