A luncheon briefing will be held from noon to 1:15 pm on July 30, 2009, presented by the National Press Club, Washington D.C. First Amendment Lounge to discuss: Prevention, improved patient outcomes and long-term cost savings: These are the critical issues in the health reform debate. The Lewin report identifies the role of screening and diagnostic laboratory tests in achieving these goals through early detection and treatment, better targeting, cost-savings and efficiencies.
Special focus will be give to tests on: Methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), diabetes, colorectal cancer and cervical cancer.
