ECRI to hold web conference on partnering CE and IT
The ECRI Institute plans a web conference on September 16 from 1:00 - 2:30 PM EDT on
Medical Device and IT Integration: Managing the Challenges of Convergence.
ECRI Institute defines medical device convergence as the interrelationship between medical devices and health information technology, a process that is becoming more common in healthcare. As healthcare evolves IT closer to the patient, and clinical engineering (CE) moves closer to networking and IT systems, the convergence path has resulted in a significant impact to hospital's planning and managing technology, especially in operations for these two departments.
