Philips patented open cuff design does not use pressure clamps or adhesives unlike clothespin sensors. Furthermore, the unique soft, rubber cuff design provides automatic LED sensor alignment, making it easy to reapply and reposition securely.
"I am very pleased that more customers will have the opportunity to standardize on Philips reusable SpO2 sensors," said Jim Polewaczyk, general manager and director, supplies, for Philips Medical Systems. "Like all our medical supplies, the new Philips reusable SpO2 sensors are carefully designed and are backed by rigorous testing to deliver safe and effective patient care."
These sensors are currently available for sale worldwide.
