Chris Duca has been appointed President of Virtual Imaging, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Canon U.S.A.
Through Virtual Imaging's system integration capabilities, Canon U.S.A.'s Medical Systems Division delivers a full-range of complete medical X-ray imaging and healthcare system solutions. Virtual Imaging operations are based in Deerfield Beach, Fl.
"This is an exciting time for the company as we feel there are many opportunities to capitalize on the strong brand recognition of Canon Medical Systems and become the medical imaging provider of choice for a wide variety of healthcare providers," Duca told DOTmed News.

He indicated that he continues to see robust demand for advanced medical imaging systems from a wide variety of healthcare providers seeking to increase the efficiency of their facilities.
"It is our goal to provide a range of healthcare system solutions to meet the needs of these customers, from small practices to large healthcare organizations," Duca said.
Duca began his career in the medical imaging field in 1984 and has focused on CT and MRI development and service. He established Integrated Technologies in 1993 and was appointed Vice President and COO of Virtual Imaging when the two companies merged in 2005. Prior to Integrated Technologies, Duca worked for several years as part of a management team that re-organized management structure and auditing processes for companies. Duca will continue to be based in Deerfield Beach, Fl. He succeeds Tim Martinson, founder of Virtual Imaging, who is retiring from the medical industry after 35 years to spend more time with his family and pursue his numerous hobbies.
