Pat Lynch, VP of the North Carolina Biomedical Association took some time to explain the conference highlights to DOTmed News at NCBA 2009.
In the video, Pat said some of the major challenges for 2010 include the limiting of education for biomeds and that "senior administration and hospitals [are] not understanding that education for biomedical and technical people is in fact an investment in the future, and is not just education for education's sake."

Pat talked about a new biomedical association, the Federation of Medical Equipment Support Associations (FMESA). He explained that its purpose was to bring biomedical groups together.
He is also a biomedical support specialist for Global Medical Imaging, and the treasurer for FMESA, which was established in September 2009.
Pat discussed the education presentations at the NCBA, including his two presentations, "How to start an in-house imaging program and slashing medical equipment costs in 2010."
