FAIRFIELD, Conn., Dec. 29, 2005-- GE has appointed Laura King as a corporate officer. Since March 2004 she has served as global vice president, interventional, cardiology and surgery for GE Healthcare, Waukesha, Wisconsin.
A 20-year GE veteran, King was general manager of sourcing, for GE Healthcare from 2000 to 2004. Prior to that, she was general manager of services for the northeast region of the United States. In 1995, King was the business leader for Healthcare's Global Mammography segment. King also held a series of roles in Finance and Operations within GE's industrial segment from 1991-1994. Additionally, King was a four-year member of the GE Corporate Audit Staff. King received her bachelor's degree in economics from the University of California at Davis in 1985.
