Souquet discussed Supersonic's "must have technology", the ShearWave Elastography, which measures and visualizes tissue elasticity. He explained that 80% of biopsies are negative, which imposes trauma to patients and is a cost to the healthcare environment.
"Our focus has been innovation. Innovation based on trying to answer real clinical needs," said Souquet.
Supersonic is also extending the capabilities of the product to other clinical applications beyond the breast, such as liver fibrosis.
