Effective today, DeVilbiss Healthcare has completed its move to become an independent and stand-alone entity from parent company Sunrise Medical, Alan Panzer, President & CEO of DeVilbiss Healthcare, informed DOTmed News.
"While DeVilbiss has operated as a separate division since July 2007 with its own sales force, brands, and products, it will now officially become an independent company," Panzer wrote in an email. "This move will allow DeVilbiss to have the flexibility to prioritize and focus on better servicing our customers' needs. It also reflects the confidence that Vestar Capital Partners has in the ability of the DeVilbiss division to succeed in the respiratory market."
He noted that this change will not impact the way in which business partners work with DeVilbiss Healthcare.
