Five Minutes in Healthcare is where I discuss current events with some of the industry's most influential leaders.

Today I am joined by Ardie Ermers, executive vice president of Elekta, and president of Elekta in North and South America, for a talk about radiation oncology and the emergence of the MR-Linac. We discuss the role of Elekta's Unity MR-Linac in oncology, the meaning of adaptive radiotherapy, and the value these new capabilities bring to cancer treatment.

We also examine the logistical requirements for a facility seeking to bring MR-Linac to its patients, the type of MR system currently required, and progress with reimbursement taking place in the United States.
