Donal Quinn joins
AdvaMed Dx
Donal Quinn, CEO of Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics, was appointed to the Advanced Medical Technology Association's (AdvaMed) new Dx board of directors Tuesday, according to a news release from Siemens.
AdvaMed Dx is a division of AdvaMed that was recently created to "advance the public policy priorities of AdvaMed's diagnostic member companies and provide a dedicated vehicle that represents the interests of the in-vitro diagnostics industry," according to a statement.
The board comprises 18 members from diagnostic companies around the globe.

"I am extremely pleased to help support AdvaMed Dx in addressing the unique...legal issues facing the diagnostic industry," Quinn said in a statement.
President of AdvaMed Steve Ubl also looks forward to having Quinn on board.
"We look forward to having the benefit of Donal Quinn's leadership on the board of directors," he said in a statement. "The interest in AdvaMed Dx by such industry leaders as Siemens is very encouraging, and I believe it demonstrates the need for a dedicated organization that is singularly focused on the advocacy priorities of in-vitro diagnostics companies."
