Originally produced by PyMaH Corporation, TRIMLINE products were first introduced in 1969. TRIMLINE Medical Products Corporation was established in 1996 by two former PyMaH executives, Richard F. Jacobson and Paul Von der Heyden, after PyMaH was acquired by 3M Corporation. The newly-formed company purchased the PyMaH blood pressure line from 3M in 1997. In 2005, TRIMLINE Medical Products acquired a diagnostic stethoscope product line from Doctor's Research Group, and, later that year, purchased the blood pressure cuff product business from Kimberly-Clark.

Welch Allyn has been in the business of blood pressure products since 1986, when it purchased the Tycos blood pressure division, then owned by Sybron Corp., which included a full line of manual blood pressure gauges and stethoscopes, including the Tycos Class Hand Aneroid. The Tycos sphygmomanometer stood as the standard instrument of care for its accurate and reliable blood pressure readings, and the design was an industry standard until the 2001 introduction of Welch Allyn DuraShock technology-a gear-free device with more robust parts that can withstand dropping or rough handling.

"Through today's acquisition, the company continues its long-term success through innovation and attention to customer service. I am pleased that New York is able to assist the manufacturer grow its global headquarters in the region."
