(Muensingen/Switzerland) - Schaerer Medical has further strengthened its USA presence and customer service for its medical products. Effective June 18th, Schaerer Medical has taken over all outstanding shares of Cincinnati based Schaerer Mayfield USA, Inc. Schaerer Mayfield USA, Inc. will now become a wholly owned subsidiary of Schaerer Medical AG.

Schaerer Mayfield USA manufactures and sells high quality surgical tables; CHICK LP / IOT / CLT Orthopedic Surgical Tables, Schaerer 7300 Specialty and General Surgical Tables, Infant Cast Table and Traction Conversion Kit, and Montreal Lateral Positioning Device. CHICK Orthopedic Table has been perceived as the Gold Standard when it comes to an Orthopedic Fracture Table.

Along with this acquisition, Schaerer will also launch its new schaerer® arcus 501, 601 and 701 operating table to the US-market, capable of carrying patients up to a weight of 360 kg. The established excentric column-construction allows free access both for surgical and technical demands and defines this operating table as an optimal solution in the operating room. The column height varies from 595-1200 millimeter. With this feature, the schaerer® arcus provides advantages for the daily challenges in all surgical disciplines.
Another important part of the future product offering in the US is the schaerer® MIS-System, a patient positioning and extension device for the minimally invasive surgery on the lower extremities. The system can be used in every day routine in minimally invasive arthroplasty, hip arthroscopy and traumatology.

Together with the schaerer® arcus and schaerer® MIS, a wide range of accessories will be offered. The accessories of Schaerer Medical are characterised by versatile applications and by first-class material and manufacturing quality.
