Pamela King, CEO of JP International, passed away from colon cancer on July 2, said Michael Clark, her fiance.
"We've been dealing with colon cancer for three years, and it finally beat her," he said.
Clark and his fiancee were together for 10 years.
"She and I actually went to high school together and graduated in the same class," he said. "We met at the class reunion 31 years later and we've been together ever since."
Clark described her as a very spontaneous and open-minded woman. She was an avid fan of theater and art with a contagious laugh.
"She had a laugh that would just drive anybody into laughter," he said.
JP International is a South Carolina-based company specializing in buying and selling pre-owned radiation therapy and imaging equipment. King passed on her company to some friends, who plan to continue the business, her fiance said.
