It was 14 years ago that Sound Imaging Inc. began in San Diego, Calif., with a few engineers setting out to sell and service MR parts domestically.

"Our president founded the company with the intent to provide quality parts and services at affordable prices," says Tanner LoRusso, sales manager for the company. "His goal was to ensure that diagnostic imaging facilities around the country had a reliable source for meeting these needs."

In the last decade, Sound Imaging has expanded its business, and now includes fixed and mobile MRI systems, MRI service, and all MRI parts and coils refurbishment and repair in its repertoire.

"Despite its ambitious expansion, the company has maintained a family-like atmosphere in its size and dedication to serve every client with personal care and respect," LoRusso says. "With a new leader, we continue to do that year after year."

When Sunny Tabrizi took over as president/general manager a few years ago, her aim was to continue doing what Sound Imaging was known for.

"For me, customer service is our number one priority, and that means high quality with very competitive pricing," Tabrizi says. "We go above and beyond to make sure the clients are happy."

She says that Sound Imaging is honored to have had many opportunities to serve the needs of imaging facilities throughout the country, and is committed to maintaining its standards of attentive and personalized care in the future.

The company exemplifies its mission statement on a daily basis: to touch the lives and participate in the success of physicians, technologists, and patients all around the world.

"We believe that with the effort of our devoted team members, we will persevere through any obstacle, maintain our reputation as a reliable vendor providing exceptional customer service, and expand to serve the international medical community," LoRusso says.

With a great number of successes through the years, LoRusso believes that its biggest is the fact that they have had the opportunities to place MRI Mobile trailers all over the country, and provide skilled engineers for service.

"As we have only expanded to include such ventures in the last few years, we are excited to grow this part of our company with steady momentum," he says. "Furthermore, we are fortunate to have acquired international business partners and are now exclusive providers to these specific markets."

Moving forward, the members of Sound Imaging are excited to produce their own line of MRI accessories, including RF shielded cameras and stereo systems, and look forward to serving the members of this dedicated community.

Sound Imaging plans to continue doing what it has done best for the past 14 years that has led them to where they are now.
