Dick Thompson, former senior director for Amerinet Choice Specialist, took charge of the company's new non-acute services Western division earlier this month. The new department is almost like a new business within Amerinet, explains Thompson.
"We saw the non-acute role as being a unique venture within Amerinet," he says. "It's intriguing that we can start something new, almost a new business within a business."
A 25-year-veteran in the health care field, Thompson joined the Amerinet team about a year and a half ago. His new role will focus on building the company's new, growing division.

"The goal is really to position ourselves in the marketplace, to be a leader in supporting non-acute facilities across the country," he says.
But Thompson's new position will also bring him personal growth, he says. He'll be more involved in the day-to-day operations than he was with his work in the Choice Specialist aspect.
