ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The U.S. Department of Defense has awarded Carestream Health a maximum $10 million contract that enables the agency to order PACS systems and related sub-systems and components. Under terms of this agreement, this equipment can be purchased by the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps and federal civilian agencies.
Carestream Health was also recently awarded a sole-source PACS service agreement for the National Institutes of Health. Based in Bethesda, Md., NIH is the world's largest clinical research complex and its Clinical Center is the nation's largest medical research hospital. The organization incorporates 27 different Institutes and Centers, each with its own specific research mission.
